On the way…

Seven of us are now sitting in Dulles Airport, having traveled from Boston earlier today.

Over the next few hours, our group will grow to 25 people (hopefully!), and at 4:50 pm we’ll depart together for Moscow.  We’ll arrive in Moscow at 11 am on Saturday, Aug. 3, spend the night there, and then depart for Yakutsk on the evening of July 4th.  We’ll also pick up another participant in Moscow, so we’ll be 26 then.  After an overnight flight (6 more time zones), we’ll arrive at 6 am in Yakutsk on Tuesday July 5.  We’ll then spend one night in Yakutsk (picking up one more person so we’ll be 27), then finally fly to Cherskiy on Wednesday July 6.  Wow – it is now Friday and we’ll be flying until next Wednesday!    So far so good…
